After working for large national
payroll companies for many years, two brothers, David and Jack
Platt, decided that there was a better, more efficient and
economical way to provide payroll processing to the local,
mid-sized businesses and organizations throughout the New York
metropolitan area. Together they founded Basic Pay LLC in 1998.
By combining the latest payroll software with experienced
payroll professionals and removing extraneous layers of
management and marketing teams, Basic Pay has been able to offer
a personalized service that fits each customer’s needs at a very
competitive price. Unlike the national payroll providers, Basic
Pay is not driven by market share or the closing stock price,
